The KX030-4 reaches about 9'7" deep, giving it real capability for foundations, drainage, and utility trenching beyond what a 1-2 ton machine can handle.

At roughly 6,270 lb, the KX030-4 is built to move on a standard 10,000-lb-rated trailer setup, which keeps it towable behind a properly equipped three-quarter-ton or larger truck without needing a dedicated equipment hauler.

Not for most jobs. Conventional tail swing means the counterweight extends slightly past the tracks as the machine rotates, so you just need normal working clearance around it. If you're consistently digging tight against walls or fences, the tight-tail U27 or U35 would suit you better.

Both are available. Canopy keeps upfront cost down for seasonal use; a cab adds enclosed comfort and weather protection for machines that will see year-round Grey-Bruce work.

It's a good fit for landscapers, small excavation contractors, and acreage owners who need more power and reach than an entry machine but still want something that tows easily without a full-size equipment trailer.
