This page explains what information chrisrea.ca collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is run by Chris Rea, Account Manager at Robert's Equipment in Owen Sound, Ontario.

What I collect
Contact form: your name, email, phone number, your message, and any machine or Stock# you mention.
Brochure, sell sheet and used-equipment requests: your name, email and phone number.
Chat questions: the question you type and the answer you get.
Text messages: your mobile number and the messages we exchange, if you ask to be texted. See Text messages from Chris.
Technical data: Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page visits without cookies. A scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address is used to limit spam and abuse of the forms and chat. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a request comes from a person, not a bot.
How it is used
To answer your inquiry, prepare quotes, and follow up on the equipment you asked about.
Inquiries go into Robert's Equipment's customer system so the right person at the dealership can help you.
To keep the site working and protect it from spam and abuse.
Your information is never sold.
Who it is shared with
Robert's Equipment staff who help with your inquiry.
Service providers that run the site and messaging: Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics), Anthropic (answers chat questions), Twilio (sends and receives text messages), and email providers. They use your information only to provide that service.
Anyone the law requires it to be shared with.
Text messaging: no mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party.
Browser storage and cookies
The site saves the equipment list in your browser so pages load faster, and a temporary session ID so the chat questions from one visit stay together. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
How long it is kept
Your information is kept as long as it is needed to help you and to meet the records Robert's Equipment must keep by law. You can ask to have it removed at any time, subject to those records.
Your choices
Ask what information is held about you, or ask to have it corrected.
Withdraw your consent at any time. For email, use the unsubscribe link in any message. For texts, reply STOP.
If a privacy concern is not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
