The U35-4 reaches about 9'9" deep, which handles foundations, drainage, septic, and most utility trenching for residential and small commercial jobs.
It has tight tail swing, so the rear of the machine stays close to the width of the tracks as it rotates instead of swinging out. That lets you dig right along a property line, fence, or neighbouring structure without the counterweight clipping something behind you.
They're close in weight and dig depth, but the U35-4 has tight tail swing and the KX033-4 is conventional. If your jobs are consistently tight to structures or lot lines, the U35-4 is the better fit; with normal working clearance, the KX033-4 gives comparable capability.
