Questions I get about the BX80 Series

How many acres does a BX80 series tractor make sense for?

The BX80 series (BX1880, BX2380, BX2680) is sized for roughly 1 to 10 acres. It's the tractor I put on more small Grey-Bruce properties than anything else in the lineup.

I'm stepping up from a lawn tractor — is the BX80 overkill?

No, this is exactly the upgrade path. If your driveway drifts in every winter and a riding mower can't keep up with mowing, loading, or snow, the BX80 does all three without needing a garage any bigger than what you already have.

Is a cab available on the BX80?

Yes, a cab kit is available across the BX80 lineup, in addition to the standard open station. Worth considering if you'll be running it through an Owen Sound winter.

Does the BX80 come with a gear transmission or only hydrostatic?

All three BX80 models (BX1880, BX2380, BX2680) are HST — hydrostatic transmission, operated with foot pedals instead of a clutch. There's no gear-drive option in this series.

What mower deck sizes fit the BX80?

Deck width depends on the model: the BX1880 runs a 48 or 54 inch deck, while the BX2380 and BX2680 step up to a 54 or 60 inch deck. Horsepower ranges from 16.6 to 23.3 across the series.
