The L70 is the newest Grand L, built around an electronic iHST drive and, in my opinion, the nicest seat in the compact class. If you want the newest thing in the compact line, this is it, and I'd rather put you on a demo than just describe it.
All six models — L3770, L3970, L4270, L4470, L5070, and L6070 — are available either open station (ROPS) or with a factory cab, so cab choice comes down to what you want to spend and how much winter work you're doing, not which model you pick.
It's actually called the True Drive System, and it's the feature on the Premium models (L3970, L4470, L5070, L6070). What it does is drop the rated engine speed by roughly 1,000 RPM while still holding full 540 PTO speed — so you get a quieter, more fuel-efficient tractor for long days without giving up PTO performance. It's more of an engine/PTO efficiency feature than something you'll feel at the pedal. Ask me and I'll walk through it on the actual tractor.
It's aimed at 10 acres and up, with horsepower from 37 on the L3770 to 60 on the L6070 — six models across that range.
