Clear snow the right way: Kubota snow setups for Grey-Bruce

For laneways, lots or a snow route, I help you put together the right Kubota — tractor or loader — and the blower, pusher, or blade that matches, before the first storm, not in January. Just the drive at a single rural home? That's /property.

The carriers

L70 and MX — the tractor answer. Both are strong snow carriers; a cab is where most people land for a route, for the heat and the clear glass through a storm.

L70 · MX

R40 — built for road speed. When you're covering ground between large lots and yards, the R40 moves from one to the next fast, pushing with a bucket, pusher or blade. That road speed is the reason people reach for it.

Already running an SVL? Add a pusher — that's the machine for large yards and parking lots.

Sanding & salting. I sell the spreaders too, so you're not missing a piece mid-storm.

For snow contractors

If you're clearing on contract, it's uptime and matching width to the carrier. I'll size the blower or pusher to the tractor or loader, and package the machine, pusher, and spreader when that keeps you moving — or add to what you already run.

Sizing your snow setup

New or used — ask what's on the ground.

The Kubota snow lineup at a glance

Blowers: Kubota / Land Pride (Land Pride is Kubota) and Agrotrend. Pushers and blades: HLA.

Chris's take

Snow comes down to what you're clearing and whether you'd rather throw it or push it. For laneways and lots the L70 runs a front blower and throws snow clean off to the side; the MX puts a rear blower behind a bigger tractor. Covering ground between lots and yards? The R40 has the road speed to move from one to the next fast, pushing with a bucket, pusher or blade. Already running an SVL — put a pusher on it and the big yards and lots go quick. Tell me the properties and how much ground you cover, and I'll match the blower, pusher or blade to the machine, with the spreader ready so you're set before the first storm.

Parts, service and warranty — and walk-behinds

I sell and advise; Robert's Equipment in Owen Sound backs it with parts, service and warranty, and every new Kubota comes with a Kubota-backed warranty and flexible financing options from Kubota. Just need a walk-behind for the house? Robert's carries those — I focus on the tractor and loader setups that clear laneways, lots and snow routes. Just the drive at a single rural home? Questions I get

What's the setup for a long laneway — front blower?

A front blower runs on the L70 and throws snow clean off to the side — the go-to for a long laneway.

Front blower or rear blower?

A rear blower runs on an L70 or an MX; a front blower is the L70's.

I already have an SVL — can I use it for snow?

Yes — put a pusher on it, for large yards and parking lots.

When is the R40 the answer?

When you want road speed between large lots and yards so you can move fast and push — cab, bucket, pusher or blade.

Do you sell walk-behind snowblowers for the house?

Those are at Robert's Equipment for now. I focus on the tractor and loader snow setups that clear laneways, lots and routes.
